October is Black History Month and it was a huge privilege back in March 2022 to be invited by the young people of ACAP (African Caribbean Achievement Project) to be part of their wonderful oral history project celebrating and documenting the experiences of the people of the Windrush communities of West Yorkshire, UK. The finished result surpassed my expectations and I am truly honoured to be placed alongside some of the most respected people within my community.
